The music teacher will plan lessons, liaise with school staff over delivery and report on pupil progress. For instrumental ensemble teaching, a school-based member of staff needs to be present, delivered during school time.
We cannot guarantee cover for lessons where a member of staff is absent at short notice.
If booking in terms 2 or 3 only, we cannot guarantee your preferred teaching day/time.
If schools choose to self-deliver WCET and require the hire of instruments, the cost of hire of instruments will be paid for by York Music Hub, but an administration charge of £50 per term will be paid by the school.
The National Plan for Music Education recommends that all schools have a School Music Development Plan in place, which demonstrates the school's commitment to the development of music in school, and captures the curriculuar and co-curricular offer to their pupils.
